Will textbooks and books in general become obsolete anytime soon? Technology is quickly advancing and becoming more widely used throughout the world. 42% of US adults own a tablet, as tablets have become more popular, a debate has formed on wether or not they should replace textbooks. Proponets of having tablets say they are supported by most teachers and students, they are much lighter than textbooks, tablets can hold hundreds of books, and that digital textbooks are cheaper than print textbooks. As that may all be true the fact is 90% of educational textbooks are still on paper, and only 30%of textbook titles are available electronically. However states are progressing to make textbooks digital, Florida has mandated that all K-12 instructional
