Argumentative Essay: Should Women Get Paid?

In 2017, men still get paid more than women do, which is not fair. For the past hundred years women have fought to get the same rights as men. Women have made it pretty far, but still do not have all the same rights as men do which is ridiculous.Women get paid 77 cents to every dollar a man makes working the same amount of hours at the same job. Therefore, we should stop the wage gap by protesting, by getting more people aware of the issue and killing the stereotype that women can not do the same jobs men can do.
One of the causes of the wage gap is sexism. Men thinking they are more superior to women and think they need to be paid more. Most men do not even realize they get paid more than women. A couple weeks ago 200,000 people protested a day after the President Trump inauguration for women's rights. In the article “Women's Marches ‘This is Just the Start’” it says that the protest is just the start of equality for men and women. Getting equality can help with the wage gap and get women to be paid the amount of money they deserve to be paid.
