How would you feel if your mother was going to leave you for months or a year to go do her job? For instance your mother is in the Marines, you would probably not see her for a few months. Pregnancy can affect the deployment of a unit. Women can end up leaving their fellow workers behind. When a woman leaves, women mostly say they want to return home because they want to spend time with their family. When women are held prisoners, the enemy can torture, abuse, or rape them. Harassment would most likely become a major problem.When there is a woman who is surrounded by a large group of men and the woman is outnumbered, it can lead to sexual harassment. If one woman is assaulted, she not only loses faith in her fellow workers, but she may fear them.
Others may say that women should be in combat because the army will be stronger,but then the men will be distracted. If they get distracted they will possibly die in the battlefield. the standards are set for men not women, so if women try to reach it they might overstretch themselves. If the army gave lower standards for women, then women will have a harder time in battle than men do. Men have battle like standards but they will be lowering those standards for women.
