Argumentative Essay: Should We Test On Animals?

Decent Essays
On the negative side, most people would want to harm animals just for the safety of humans and the company. Many scientist say that we should test on animals because it will benefit human safety. Even though that is true, why put harmful chemicals in a product instead of using raw or organic material. This can improve humans that are wearing the product and the company. A lot of people do not agree and throw shade at the companies that do test on animals. This happened to MAC with Pamela Anderson. She was so fed up she wrote a letter and everyone around the world found out the truth about MAC. As well as testing animals that are just like humans. Again this is true that they do test on animals that are just like humans but every human and animal

Today's world is becoming blinded daily by the menacing and threatening treatment towards animals. Almost all humans grew up eating meat, wearing wool, and enjoying a day at the zoo. Almost all remember bringing home their furry new family member of the pet store. Humans fail to recognize the impact of these actions that at the time seemed so careless. More than one hundred million animals each year are burned, poisoned, or mistreated in experimental labs.…

Animal Research is, has always been, and will most likely continue to be a delicate subject. The use of animals in research ranges from cosmetics to medical and wherever there are animals being tests there are groups of people arguing the morality and ethics of the testing being done. Excluding cosmetics and the like for now (that’s a different argument), the use of animal research in neuroscience is absolutely necessary and though it is a sensitive issue, there are ways to make it more ethically acceptable and to protect the animals themselves from blatant cruelty. Today, animal research is more humane than it has ever been.…

Kadian Ott Have you ever thought about animals used in commercial or scientific testing? Do you believe it's fair for animals to be used? Do people care if these animals go extinct? We should care about animals more so animals have been used for testing since about 500 b.c and that's roughly around 2500 years of using animals for our own advantage. These animals can't even communicate with us to tell us whether or not to use them in testing.…

Animal testing is among one of the most controversial issues worldwide. Animal testing can lead to many great discoveries in our constant evolving world, but can also endanger the lives of innocent creatures. Through many arguments, animal testing puts the life of animals at risk in order to try to make advancements in the medical, cosmetic, and scientific fields. The first animal testing began in the 17th century on numerous animals to demonstrate blood circulation. Animal testing expanded quickly and in 1876 parliament passed the Cruelty to Animal Acts in Europe.…

A rabbit strains against the box confining him, only able to move his head, as a scientist comes by to drop chemicals into his eyes. Hundreds of other rabbits are beside him, getting the same chemical dropped into their eyes that causes burning pain to erupt. Millions of animals go through excruciatingly painful tests that cause suffering and usually end in death, just so researchers can predict what might happen to a human if they were to use the product being tested. Animal testing is a controversial subject but in the end, it is unreliable, cruel, unjustified, and should come to an end. To begin with, animal experimentation provides unreliable test results and false information on the side effects of products.…

767,622 different types of animals were used in 2015, and even more in 2016. AAVS reported their annual statistics showing over the years how many animals have been used, and how much they have to suffer due to scientists using them. Animals shouldn’t be put through this kind of conditions, so they shouldn’t be used for scientific testing, because it’s inhumane, it leads to nowhere, and it’s not even accurate. First of all, animals go through very harsh testing, and barely survive. They get inflicted with burns, decapitated, and sometimes even get deprived of food and water for many days.…

The Controversy With Animal Testing Animal testing is more of a problem than some believe. Some people believe it is okay to use animals as their test subjects, while others have been trying to convince people that there are alternatives to using animals that will work just as well. “It’s not testing cosmetics. It’s trying to save my life” (Kopp and Camosy 48) said Eileen Youtie who is fighting cancer. Eileen is paying over $30,000 so tests can be done on an animal before the doctors use the drugs on her (48).…

But to continue we need advancements in science and technology which are achieved through testing. Biological sciences require we test on living things, which Earth has an abundance of.…

Imagine your family pet being enclosed in a small, cold, and dirty cage for days, weeks, or even months on end, only being taken out to be subjected to painful experiments without any anesthetic, as well as the possibility of developing life threatening diseases and injuries. Too many animals experience this on a regular basis around the globe - in fact, nearly 25 million animals will be used as test subjects annually. Animal testing is a horrible occurrence, one that brings suffering to even the smallest of creatures. Many people do not know the extremes of the effects of this practice, which are unnecessarily painful to animals, or that alternatives do exist, and that the results are not always accurate and time/cost effective. Experiments…

Animal Experimentation Animal experimentation has been around for many centuries. Humans perform these experiments on all species of animals to find different effect of a product it could have on a human. Three advantages in particular advantages are, it helps scientists gain a better understanding for cures of different diseases, this practice makes a vital advance in medicine, and for the expense of treatments and cures animals should not have rights when it comes to research. Although there are many advantages to animal experimentation, there are also disadvantages which include, there is no benefit for the humans, it is cruel, and is dangerous for humans to be treated only after a trial on animals. The first advantage to animal experimentation is using animals like rats can help the scientist gain better knowledge for different…

The main reason why we animal test is for cosmetic research, not medical research, which is the only type that can be half accepted. Medical research for humans on animals means they still do not get the correct results we need because of the two different reactions of chemicals in two different animals. Popular brands hide the way they animal test because they know that when people find out their product will not sell as well. Global warming is also a huge and rising problem on our earth, and by cutting out cosmetic research on animals, it will mean a few hundred less factories running around the world and releasing fumes into the atmosphere. This will mean a lot of jobs lost, but there are plenty more jobs in the world and it will only benefit our world.…

Now days, society can volunteer themselves in clinical drug research for a monetary exchange. With modern science “we can see inside peoples’ brains using imaging machines or test microscopic amounts of new drugs harmlessly on volunteers.” (BUAV.org the campaign to end animal experiments, pg 7) Humans are more willing to volunteer themselves for the money, but also because strict health and safety precautions are put in place for their well-being at all times during the study. Humans can also communicate their side effects and pain occurrence which provides sound and optimal results for future modifications and or dosages. Unfortunately, animals cannot communicate these important factors, which in turn is useless.…
