College is not cheap at all. You need to pay for all your classes, your books and more. Sometimes what is more frustrating is that you only need half of the books not for long. You only need them to study and end up not using them later for anything. In addition so many students drop out because the college expenses are too high. If college is free there would be no excuse on not going to college. No student would have any type of excuse for dropping out or so. Going to college for free is really a blessing. Not many people make it that far. Therefore college should be free to attend because we all need an education, not everybody can afford it, and last but not least nobody would drop out or not go college. If somebody does there would be no excuse because they only did what they could and it was their fault on not taking

Community College Should Stay the Same I don’t agree with Barack Obama’s idea of having free community college. There is many points that you will have to consider when you think of free community college, such as the professors not have the same wage that they are earning as if now. There will be students that might not take the education seriously, their mind will be that since it’s free it will not really affect him/her but as it won’t affect their budget it would affect the university that they'll be attending after community college. I also believe there is no point on making community college free because it is not expensive at all compared to universities but if you think that the tuition you are going to be getting is expensive there…

Though, this solution that seems to do all good still has negatives. Just like its opposing argument why college should not be free has various points which support its claims but there are also reasons why it is not an entirely good decision as well. This is why college should neither be free or extremely expensive but it should be cheaper so that more students will have the opportunity to go to college and the students going already won’t have to deal with the insane price of an…

The major objective for most of us earning a college degree is to have an increased gross income, and, yes, it is true that the recipients of a college degree earn more for a living than others with just a high school diploma. However, there is an increasing body that finds it difficult to pay the yet increasingly, and usually expensive costs of attending college. As both Republican and Democratic parties hold rallies and conventions across the nation, and having discussions on trendy topics, including border security and undocumented immigrants; on the other side, there is the not so trendy topic on whether college education should or should not be free. Why College Should be Free for Everyone One of the things people think of when they think about college is the cost of attending. Many people I know, peers and parents alike, are going or have gone to college with the intention of using loans to attain the ultimate goal, their degree. If America is so progressive, then why hasn’t the cost of college been lowered instead of going up yearly? College should not force people to go into debt for the majority of their lives to get a degree.…

College does indeed cost a lot; however, expensive tuition is not an incentive to make college free. Andrew Kelly, the director of the Center on Higher Education Reform at American Enterprise Institute (AES) says that free college would lead to an increase in taxes and because of the increase in enrollments, the cost to implement this policy would increase even more (The New York Times). He also states that “Rather than spread scarce federal money across all students, policymakers should instead target those resources toward those who need it most” (The New York Times). In other words, tuition-free education should only be an option to those who need it, not those who are able to afford…
