Its good to have restrictions on teens because that will lower the reduction of crashes. In some research that was make from 1996 stated that 1,348 fewer fatal crashes involved 16 yr olds which is a good thing it shows that the programs they offered helped teens be aware of how dangerous being on the road can get. Also another restriction they put on teens is that they are given a little mini test and after 12 month period they are found that they haven't been stopped by the police or haven't crashed they are rewarded with getting their full license. That little test to also states that they cannot be out on the streets from 11 p.m to 5 a.m without an adult that's 20 or older. Parents are aware of these rules and they take the car keys away from the teen. The state of California has done a great job by putting strict restrictions on teens who are beginning to drive. Other states don't have restriction they they have also seen 26 percent of reduction. Even though the numbers are higher for the 18yr olds because some start at that age that program can be offered to them as well and good results will be seen as well with the 15 yr olds. I can relate to this because two of my friends have already started to drive and have their permit. One of my friends gets the car borrowed from her mom and her mom put restrictions
