Argumentative Essay: Should Scientology Exist?

I don’t believe Scientology should exist because it is way too harmful for people to go through and not be disturbed extensively when they are finally able to get out of it. When people first start to be a part of Scientology they have to sign a release form that says the staff of Scientology can isolate the person for however long the staff thinks is necessary with no contact with family or friends. They sometimes call this “The Lisa Clause” and began to do this after a woman named Lisa McPherson’s death while in Scientology. Many scientologists have died from suspicious circumstances before. I believe the Evangelicals group should be allowed to exist if they just eased up on how forceful they are about their religion. They make it seem like their religion is the only one that is right. However, if they are wanting to continue to be radical and making little kids cry and breakdown about something that shouldn’t even be a big deal to such little kids, they should not be allowed to exist. Evangelicals are very close minded people and aren’t open to other suggestions when it comes to things that go against what they believe. Most of what they believe is opinions, for example, abortion. They are absolutely against it and don’t want to hear any kind of excuse as to why someone would want something like that.
