Admittedly, there is a lot of sugar in flavored milk. One website said,”There’s a reason children can’t wait to gulp down a carton of chocolate milk at lunch: sugar. While you might think flavored milk is rich in calcium and vitamin D, it’s also loaded with sugar...!”(“Milk is an Excuse to Sneak in Sugar”). This basically means that milk is an excuse to sneak sugar.
On the flip side, there are a lot of healthy parts of chocolate milk. If kids don't have milk they won’t get enough vitamin D. One website said this,”Schools that have removed flavored milk have seen a sharp decline in milk consumption, which is bad news for kids' nutrition since milk contains nine essential nutrients and three nutrients that American children tend to under-consume: calcium, potassium and vitamin D.”(“No flavored milk, or no milk?”). Plus, when kids drink nutrient-rich flavored milk, they improve their overall diet quality.”(“Milk in Schools”). This means that they get more nutrition when they drink milk. Secondly, there is less sugar in milk then there use to. Every eight ounce glass of milk, white or flavored, naturally contains 12 grams of sugar in the form of lactose. Today’s flavored milk in school contains an average of only 6 grams of added sugars – the sugars we want to minimize in the diet.”(“Milk in Schools”).this means there is less sugar now than then befor.
In conclusion, these are the reason that chocolate milk shouldn't be ban in schools.there is a lot of healthy vitamins that we need. There is a low fat type of milk. I call you in that we shouldn't ban chocolate
