Argumentative Essay: Should Kids Get Payed For Doing Work

Decent Essays
Kids would be motivated to work harder and to do more work. However the reason for kids working harder for money is they want to buy stuff. Some would disagree on kids should get payed.I believe that kids should get payed for doing work.It helps your parent and you to get a little reward for work.If parent modaviate there kid to work for money for money its like a job.No one pays mom to do the work they do and they o it because it has to be done.So really I think its good practace for kids to get money so they are readey to start working.Having a money reward for work should get them working.

This wanting to be and act older may come with some bad side affects. Teens sometimes get caught up in this wanting to be older lifestyle and start running with the wrong crowd. Show a child love & care, child labor is just not fair. Forms of child labor such as child slavery has existed throughout the American and human history, although child labor reached a new extreme during the Industrial Revolution. Children were being over worked, working dangerous long hours in poor factory conditions making very little money to support their families. Children were treated as slaves because they were very useful when it came to being laborers. Their little bodies allowed them to move quickly and into small spaces in factories or even mines where adults had a very hard time doing or not being able to do at all.…

More and more in today’s society you hear of parents rewarding their children with incentives for getting good grades or passing a standardized test. According to a survey coordinated by Great American Cookies, it reveals 94% of Americans bribe their children as a reward for them doing well in school. Financial incentives can be an ideal way to motivate younger children and teens, but it should only be awarded for the true achievement to the students who apply themselves. Does this actually help the student do well in school or on standardized tests? Do the students understand what message the parent is trying to send to them?…

Why I am raising my kids as gamer kids, not sports players On the surface, we seem like a fairly typical American family, by modern standards: I have a college degree and a full-time job in the insurance industry, and my husband stays at home to take care of our three kids (and will do the same for our fourth, who’s due in early August). We live in funky a 70’s house in the suburbs of Houston and drive a minivan. People who meet us often express surprise when they ask what we do “for fun” and we respond that our one and only true hobby is video gaming.…

Searching for a job isn’t always as easy as it looks, especially as a minor and having to deal with getting paid at a low wage. There have been issues on whether or not minors should get paid at the minimum wage like the majority of the adults do. Some jobs pay the minimum wage, in which minors were able to work at and getting paid at the minimum wage. In cases though, there are adults that don’t agree that minors should make the minimum wage because they have different insights about minors under the age of 18 as well some jobs don’t want minors to make the minimum wage. To conclude this, I believe minors should make the minimum wage like the majority of the adults do.…

Students should study because they want to, not to be forced to. Its wrong to lure students into studying by using cash as it gives them an idea that money can somewhat “control the world” everything does revolve around money, Which is a sad truth that they don’t understand that money does control the world and them. Although this policy encourages the wrong things. Students may get so caught up in focusing on making more money that they assumed getting good grades is purely for the money and not for learning. As I stated, their parents always expect getting good grades and studying from them.…

Teachers are among the most important people in society today. Teachers help shape the minds of the future. Tomorrow 's engineers, scientists, politicians, and educators are all greatly influenced by today 's instructors. Without teachers society would not be anywhere near where it is now and only a select few would have access to learning. Sadly, however important teachers are in civilization, they are still drastically underappreciated, underrecognized and underpaid.…

In February 2016 long overdue legislation was passed to close a loophole in the trade laws. The 1930 Tariff Act barred imported goods that were made, in some part, with child labor; the loophole was the exception that if the product was needed to meet US consumer demands, the product could be imported. This Tariff Act gave US Customs and Border Patrol the authority to seize shipments that child labor was suspected in and could block further imports. This Act was last enforced in the year 2000 and had only been used 39 times (Chen, 2/23/2016). This seems to be an aristocratic point of view that if citizens of the United States really liked a product and there was a high demand for it, then it was considered reasons enough to use child labor to produce it.…

According to Clare Levison, “ I think it can be an effective incentive, as long as you’re using it as a teachable moment to tell them about budgeting and saving.” But undoubtedly this could be challenged because even if students were being paid in the long term, their academic performances are lower than those who are not getting paid. Students who want to lean will be better than those who are only studying to get money. In addition, getting paid may be effective, but it is external and is generally short- term. Students should not be bribed and should study to get an education and not money.…

There are various effective arguments I would make to support students having homework by their teachers. The first argument I would make is that homework helps students to better retain the lessons they’ve learned during the school day. Students need a lot of exercises to do to retain what they learn everyday in school. Since class time isn’t enough to provide a lot of exercises on one subject, homework is the best way to exercise what’s been learned in class. If no homework is given to students on a subject that’s been discussed in class, it’s more likely for them to forget the subject the next day.…
