Argumentative Essay: Should Kids Get Paid?

Decent Essays
70% of the kid in the USA would work harder if they were paid. And some of the kids just don’t want to get off the game system. And the other of the 30% are just plain lazy and always tired. I think that kids should get paid just to earn a few extra bucks.

the issue is that parents will not give us money of any thing we can do. I beileve that kids should get paid for doing chores. And don’t you want a hard working chiled around your house. Then all you gotto do is give you kids money.

Kids work hard every time jsut to earn some sweet money in there wallate. And the adult who has chores gets stressed out and can’t spend time with there family. And if save enogh money you can buy an object and every time you use that object you know how hard

Many individuals would disagree or agree that children should not have to do chores. Jane Smiley wrote in her article, “The Case Against Chores,” that the pressure to put your children to work is unrelenting (Smiley 274). If children do not do anything for themselves or others, children are not going to know how to be self-sufficient in the future. A child who does not do any chores are going to grow up to become spoiled individuals. There are many quotes from Smiley throughout “The Case Against Chores” that would make people think about the kind of children Smiley wants to raise or perhaps even the children an individual reading “The Case Against Chores” wants to raise.…

In 2017, men still get paid more than women do, which is not fair. For the past hundred years women have fought to get the same rights as men. Women have made it pretty far, but still do not have all the same rights as men do which is ridiculous. Women get paid 77 cents to every dollar a man makes working the same amount of hours at the same job. Therefore, we should stop the wage gap by protesting, by getting more people aware of the issue and killing the stereotype that women can not do the same jobs men can do.…

Students should study because they want to, not to be forced to. Its wrong to lure students into studying by using cash as it gives them an idea that money can somewhat “control the world” everything does revolve around money, Which is a sad truth that they don’t understand that money does control the world and them. Although this policy encourages the wrong things. Students may get so caught up in focusing on making more money that they assumed getting good grades is purely for the money and not for learning. As I stated, their parents always expect getting good grades and studying from them.…

There are various effective arguments I would make to support students having homework by their teachers. The first argument I would make is that homework helps students to better retain the lessons they’ve learned during the school day. Students need a lot of exercises to do to retain what they learn everyday in school. Since class time isn’t enough to provide a lot of exercises on one subject, homework is the best way to exercise what’s been learned in class. If no homework is given to students on a subject that’s been discussed in class, it’s more likely for them to forget the subject the next day.…
