Gmos should be allowed because they allow plants to be more resisitant to extreme weather. California is currently in a drought and a GMO that can strive with ocean water would be great since the drought is killing the plants and ruining the ecomony since we have limited fresh water. With GMOs, whenever a drought like this happens we won't worry or waste the water required for planting and use that water for other need stuff instead. For instance, there is a new breed of corn that is drought-resitant, where it's goal is to provide maize that is suitable to survive the dry, tough conditions in Africa.
