First off, scholarships are a way to help students pay for their college tuition, but without these students can eventually find themselves in potential student debt. Obama stated that “And yet, we still live in a country where too many bright, striving Americans are priced out of the education they need.” He’s basically saying that certain people who are in debt or are struggling financially, can’t afford to go to bigger colleges of their dreams, so they settle on community colleges. You can choose to apply that money that you earned from either a sponsor, organization, or charity right to the cost of tuition or maybe spend it later to help cover over costs including; attendance and class fees, food costs, activity fees, or room and board.
