Argumentative Essay: Should College Be Tuition Free?

In America it is a very common for a person to attend a higher education institution. Generally, with a college degree it opens many more doors and opportunities for a better life. Over the years tuition cost throughout the country is dramatically rising. In America, college is expensive, and leaves a very large number of students leaving college with a lot of debt. Student debt is something that often times are being paid off for most of their life. After the recent 2016 presidential election, some candidates and former president Obama, think that there should be a form of free education. This brings us to the question whether college should be tuition free or not. College should be tuition free.
The national student debt is about $1.2 trillion. Also, the average debt for a 2014 graduate is $33,000.

For many Americans college is a route that many want to take. Under the current higher education system it is the responsibility of the students and the parent to pay for their education. For some students and families, they simply can’t afford school. Some people will try and work for a while to save up money for college, this often happens and then circumstances happen and they never enroll to attend a higher education institution. Also, many drop out due to financial hardship with school. This doesn’t give a fair shot a trying to earn them a better quality of life. This is the problem with not having tuition free college.
