Much can be said about Cindy and George as well. In 48 Hours (2009), apparently Casey left home because her mother was playing mom to Caylee. Jesse said that arguments happen between Cindy and Casey over the money being stolen. And that Cindy reached out and wrapped her hand around Casey’s neck. Cindy denied this claim saying Jesse is just spitting out lies. Amy L. Edwards (2008) also, said in Orlando Sentinel, their is questions about whether her family is making money off the case. While Casey was arrested and in jail, is said that her parents stayed in a hotel and dined expensively. Protester said that the Anthony’s were offered money for interviews. Edwards (2008) wrote that “Mark NeJame, attorney for Anthony’s parents, Cindy and George Anthony, said the couple had not received any money for photos, videos or interviews.” NBC news wrote that one of Casey defense attorney claims was that she abused by her father, but no word was told by Casey. On 48 Hours (2009), we got to hear Jesse side of the story. He talked about how Casey lived a life without consequences under her parents roof and that their was strain in the relationship with Cindy and Casey. Jesse said he and Casey were in love and he asked her to marry him. She had said yes but later took it back, because apparently Jesse loved Caylee and payed more attention to her than Casey. …show more content…
It was told that Casey had stolen money from many different people. But the attachment problem can be seen with her actions towards her grandparents. She had stolen money from her grandmother, which was used to care for her grandfather. Also, if she did not want Caylee, she could have easily given her to her mother, Kiomare, or adoption. She had options when it came to giving up her child. She must have really dissociated herself from daughter to have the audacity of killing her in order to get rid of her to have a free
