Honorable Judge ,

Today I come before you seeking joint custody over my son Joshua Benjamin. I met Jessica in

2007 while attending the same high school and we began dating. In May of 2009 after graduating high

school we married one another. In September of 2009 I went into the service as a Marine where I served

7 years and was honorably discharged as a Sergeant in August 2015.

During my 7 year stench in the Marines, I always financially provided for Jessica. She had 3 jobs

during our 7 year marriage and never worked pass 2 weeks at any of the jobs she was able to land. In

2010, Jessica expressed to me she wanted a child. I told her we were not financially prepared for one.

Without my approval or knowledge, Jessica stopped taking birth

The only way I

get to see my son is by popping up at her address to see him after I get off work on the weekends at 8

am in the morning.

Jessica has also kept Joshua’s medical and educational updates from me as well. She claims that I have

no rights to him because she is currently the custodial parent. I have since then taken the liberty of

going to his school and gathering his updates independently of her. I have also found a way to become

more active in staying up to date on his medical appointments as well by communicating with his doctor

independently of her as well.

Your Honor, I come to you today with evidences supporting all claims I have presented to you. I ask

that I be granted 3 weekends out the month with Joshua. Due to Joshua’s autism he is in school year

round and so it would not be conducive to his therapy and progress if I keep him for half of the summer.

It would make it extremely difficult for him to go to summer school to maintain his progress. I also ask

that we alternate holidays with him. Lastly, I ask that I be granted access to speak to my son everyday

between the hours of 6pm- 8pm during the weekday. Thank you.

Warm Regards,

Najee

I have conducted an extensive investigation into Richard Bolef ability to manage his financial affairs, live and function independently in the community with his disability. I have interviewed Richard with an interpreter and without one as well. I also interviewed Richard’s brother Terje Bolef, Nancy Sparks (Suspect) and Regina Birches (Richard Bolef step-mother). DHSS is recommending that the court appoints Richard Bolef a public administrator and conservator. APCW Cowsette believes this is crucial that Richard Bolef be appointed a different guardian other than his brother Terji Bolef.…

William Garay, the best interests test was applied in three main components, “ financially, scheduling, and flexibility to accommodate the other parent.” [5] Custody was awarded to the father who initially denied that the child was his. When Ana, the mother, appealed "the court concluded the trial court erred in applying the best interest standard for relying upon relative economic positioning.” [6] This “reversed the order of the trial court for not discussing the continuity and stability in custody arrangements, because comparative income or economic advantage is not a permissible basis for a custody award.” [7] Therefore in any case that economic advantage has become the basis for the “best interest” of the child, singular or sole custody could be awarded instead based on the continued and stable living arrangements that were provided by the acting…

There are a few items I would share with my father about what I have. The first item I would like to explain would be how different an online experience is compared to an in-class setting. His entire college career was spent in the classroom so I think he sees these courses as a gimmick. Accessing the Bethel Online Database (Chambers, 2016) and letting him experience some of the resources first hand should set his mind at ease.…

supporting three children may have compelled me to refer to relevant support systems to help her cope with the added stress of assuming different roles in her family. One area of concern is finding suitable housing for her children as a requirement for custody. I would have immediately presented Izzie with a number of housing options that she can choose from. While the law does not require social service to provide housing, other means of help such as cash support to pay for housing accommodations would have provided more help for Izzie. The Housing First approach is proven to be an effective means to find Izzie a place to live and can be applied in her case.…

In the articles “Three Cheers for the Nanny State,” “Ban the Ban!,” and “Soda’s a Problem but…”, all three authors present their arguments with facts, opinions, and counterclaims. However, one article presents itself better than the rest. I believe that the article “Soda’s a Problem, but...” was the most convincing article. Sarah Conly- the author who wrote “Three Cheers for the Nanny State”- argues that the soda restriction is a good idea because people would be stopped from making foolish decisions that they’ll pretty definitely regret.…
