Many people today have trouble finding who they are and believe society should follow someone else's opinions but that in fact is false and should follow what they believe in their train of thought. Emerson argues that an individual should not submit to conformity, but rather have faith in one’s own constitution; this is relatable today because society's Idiosyncrasy has made humankind want to be different from the rest.
