The major weakness of this paper is its lack of proper in-text citations, which can be attributed to inexperience. Overall, not only was the process of making the paper an enjoyable learning experience, it signaled a notable increase in my overall quality of writing.
The argumentative paper is one of the better works this year, with realistically-sized paragraphs, next to no run-on sentences, and with a topic that allows much interpretation: What is the American Dream and is it still alive? The planning stage for this paper was unique, groups of students must split themselves on whether they believe that the American Dream is alive and well, or that it is either dead or never existed in the first place. The essay shown here is obviously written for the supporter side, and successfully defended its viewpoint alongside the many other papers written by other members of its team. Notable strengths of this paper include significant research into college databases to interpret the rather vague prompt, as well as a well- developed argument using real people as examples.
