The argument I selected is abortion, a historical subject that has issues dating back for hundreds of years (ProCon). The arguments for women to have the legal right to have the reproductive freedom to decide whether to carry a fetus to full term or not is what many supporters desire in their pursuit of the legalization of abortion. Here are some of the pros listed for legal abortions, safety for the women to obtain a legal abortion, in which then lowers the risk of the mother obtaining an illegal abortion. The pro-choice state that some abortions may alleviate the chance of risky childbirths in which could result in death for the mother and/or the child. The big question is should we allow women to terminate their pregnancy and get an abortion? The answer is yes it should be allowed, because women have their reasonings for terminating the pregnancy (ranging from pregnancy by rape to not being able to support themselves and a child). It can be a controversial topic when it comes to when the woman wants to have the abortion, because when the woman reaches the 3rd week of her pregnancy the fetus begins developing and can feel what is being done to them. People believe that this is why they should ban abortion, but that’s not the case. Some women won’t know that they’re pregnant until after the 3 week mark and when they start suffering from pregnancy tendencies and habits.…

Some people call themselves pro-life, I prefer to call myself anti-death. Most sane people would also agree that they are anti-death because they do not support the killing of innocent human beings. But what they fail to realize is that murder has been legal in the United States for the past 42 years. Abortion is defined as the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy but this is just a euphemism for the voluntary annihilation of an unborn child. In 1973, the Supreme Court made a decision on the case of Roe v. Wade ruling unconstitutional a state law that banned abortions except to save the life of the mother.…

I.Introduction The topic of abortion is currently one of the most controversial issues. The 1973 supreme court ruling of Roe v. Wade allowed for women to legally obtain abortions throughout their entire pregnancy, however, conditions were put into place that allowed for states to regulate abortions during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy. The right to have an abortion is protected under the constitution’s 14th amendment which protects the basic rights of citizens. This ruling has left our country divided in half by those who are for and against abortion. Those who oppose Roe v. Wade are referred to as pro-life and those in agreement are pro-choice.…

Even though the topic of gay parenting receives a lot of negative feedback, it still continues to acquire many advocates that continue to fight for the cause. Recent studies at the University of Melbourne have proven the claim that the children of same-sex couples have an above average rate of health and overall well-being (Holliday). When children in same-sex parent families were tested on general health and family cohesion they scored roughly six percent higher than children of traditional heterosexual families. However, when the scores were compared between children of traditional and nontraditional families (when the tests involved categories of mood, behavior, mental health, emotional role, and self-esteem) the results were equivalent…
