As exhausted Grandma walks out to her car after a long shopping spree at CostCo, a man
suddenly appears, punches her in the face, snatches her purse and grabs the tube of Pringles from
the cart as he runs into the dark. This act of violence may surprise some, but the truth is that this
type of situation happens too often. Ruthless thugs lie, cheat, and steal to get what they want.
While there is no one that is perfect, the difference between the common sinner and a
ruthless one is the goal in mind. Some cutthroats do things to advance themselves in any way
possible. The ones that are not in it for self-advancement do things to hinder the advancement of

Bob may be at a buddy’s house watching the football game and
calls his wife and says that work is running a little late. But this would be a totally different
story if Bob, who has moved from friends to girlfriends, started being questioned by his wife. At
this point, he would make her feel guilty and start belittling her by saying that she’s crazy, in
need of medication, and a decedent of a long line of hysterical women. Now, Bob has not only
started cheating on his wife but also started an emotional war with her. With a motive to harm
rather than just deceive, Bob has made the first step from immoral to ruthless.
Cheating on one’s wife isn’t the only kind of cheating these thugs do. Lloyd is a nice
fella on the football team. Although, in class he has been know to be a little dishonest on some of
his tests. He has been caught looking on other players’ test. Larry, on the other hand, is a
ruthless cheater that has switched out tests entirely, taking the best score and leaving some
helpless classmate to fail. Lloyd is a bit dishonest on the field as well. When he gets excited,
