WWII Effects On Humanity

The aftermath of World War II (WWII) on Earth showed the reality and the selfishness of humanity. Large events in history such as the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki along with the Holocaust shows evidence of the terrible things that mankind has done simply because of stronger forces influencing them. The bombing of Hiroshima was America’s plan to drop an atomic bomb on the city of Hiroshima, Japan, and Nagasaki. One of the reasons for this was to get some sort of revenge for the bombing of Pearl Harbor that Japan had done to America. In addition to this, another historical event that shows how humanity was is the Holocaust, the mass genocide of millions of Jewish people that took place during WWII under the orders of Adolf Hitler, a famous dictator. Specifically, war causes people to behave viciously, become desensitized, and changes how everyday citizens are able to live their lives. The effect of WWII on humanity was that it turned a large group of people, the Nazi soldiers, into desensitized, mindless drones that simply did what Hitler had ordered them to. But why? The harsh effects on people cause them to become desensitized, act violently and have innocents move out of their home. The use of propaganda and other techniques taught from a young age had caused people to simply follow orders given from people in authority, people who didn’t deserve the respect that they got. The desensitization of Nazi soldiers and other countries fighting in the war made the ability to kill so much easier. And lastly, the people who managed to survive such horrible circumstances were still treated so terribly and had to live a life that might not have felt like it was worth
