Argumentative Essay On Women In Combat

Every time you hear a story about war, writers always put it in a male’s point of view making it seem like women don’t matter too. Women should be able to do anything and everything men could do, meaning equal access to jobs and careers in military as well as outside of it. People state that women aren’t “physically, mentally, and emotionally qualified” to actually be involved in combat. People think we should continue to have legal bars against women that want to be involved in the combat unit, mainly because it leaves dreadful wounds such as mental and physical. Why women? People don’t understand that women have the same impact on war, just like men do. War is hell. Peoples heads are being blown off, arms and legs are maimed basically having a person become crippled, but people think women can’t handle that type of thing happening for an extended time. Women should be equal to men. As stated June 1948, why can’t women be assigned to ships or planes that are engaged in combat missions? (Bell N.P.) The soldiers don’t only watch over themselves, but will be gladly die for one of their fellow combatants. Most soldiers by the end of fighting in war feel extremely empty. American men and women fight, die and kill with being millions of miles away from home. Troops fight in “the most deadliest places on earth.” Once you go into this field, you are mostly frighten because you are on your own and isolated from everything that you are used too. You never want to be that one person that slows down the troop and puts them at risk.
