There is no clear, cut and dry answer for the question “What makes a good president?” There are, however, certain shared characteristics that good leaders have shown to possess. Most people recognize these traits and while opinions may slightly differ, the vast majority of people incorporate such characteristics into their beliefs of what makes a successful president. A key example of this was made apparent to me when I brought up the discussion of what makes a good president with my mom. Despite the fact our political values don’t always fall in line with one another, I found that we did share the same ideas on what kind of traits our nation’s leader should possess.
