Transgender Transgender is not a choice or a phase it is a consistent gender identity that as a society we need to learn to accept. Transgender means that you do not identify your gender as the sex that you were assigned to at birth. Transgender people have the hardest time being accepted by their own families and loved ones, which really presents a problem in the transgender community. In recent studies showed that 75% of transgender individuals have experienced significant rejection from their families which brings up the issues of why so many families of a transgender have a hard time accepting the reality at hand and some never do. Being accepted in today’s society is so difficult because as humans, we are so judgmental, so I can only …show more content…
This also means not allowing them to use the restroom of who they identify with, which seems to bring this miss conception that this will eliminate any bullying or being made fun of which is completely ridiculous and discriminates against the transgender community. Being transgender is different, but the transgender community is still human and they should have the same right as anyone …show more content…
Others have this ridiculous idea that you are not born transgender and that these people are the way that they are because of how their parents raised them and that allowing a transgender male or female to live in society as who they identify with rather than the sex that they were assigned to at birth is bad parenting. The reality is that the parents who are supporting their children in whatever decision that they make as far as their identity goes are the parents that are saving their kids’
