With the recent technological advances in the scientific industry it has become evident that several hypothetical ideas are inching closer to reality. One such idea is the concept of time travel. The most familiar form of time travel is usually thought some sort of “time machine”, and the first time this idea was conceived was in the New York Sun during 1881, in a short story titled “The Clock that Went Backward”. On the other hand films like “Back to the Future” got their rise from H.G. Wells’ aptly named “The Time Machine”, the first time the notion of a vehicle was used to travel through time. Even famous writer Mark Twain popularized the concept in his story “A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court”. But these story beg the question, is time travel truly possible. The many worlds interpretations assumes that the world, or rather reality itself, is not a single linear history. It asserts that there is a large number and perhaps infinite amount of universes that are manifested every second a decision or event occurs at any point in time. In lay terms, anything that could has happened, has happened, and is currently happening at this very moment. For one last example, In universe 0, Tim wants to go back in time to kill his grandfather. However, by going back in time, Tim has instead created a parallel universe (dubbed universe 1) that exists alongside his own timeline. When he kills his grandfather he is successful, but cannot return to universe 0 because the effects of him killing his grandfather had only affected this newly created timeline and not the one he came from. This means that Tim was still born in universe 0, but has now disappeared due to travelling back in time and now exists in universe 1 from which he was never
