In the modern era it is almost impossible to find any media outlet that reports without racial bias. The media focuses on predominantly negative aspects of minorities lives without doing and giving a full investigation, coverage, and analysis of the situation. With any number of people watching the news and not fact checking or getting the full story, this will eventually lead to masses of people believing that what they see on TV is the full truth without question. This mindset gives those very same people unconscious biases. The media needs to focus on broadcasting without prejudice to minimize the subliminal effect it has on many of its viewers.
Minorities are often portrayed in a more negative way on TV than they are in real life.
