After the so-called four coordinated terrorist attack by the Islamic terrorist group Al-Qaeda on the United States on the morning of Tuesday, September 11, 2011, the Bush administration declared a war in 2003 on Iraq. This invasion on Iraq cost many of the Iraqi people their everyday life and family members. Al Jazeera is a state funded broadcaster owned by the Al Jazeera Media Network based in Doha, Qater. It was founded on the first of November 1996 by Hamad bi Khalifa Al Thani. This news station cover thing from the point of view of the everyday Iraq citizens without the biases and propaganda shown to the citizens of United States. In a broadcasted speech from Bush, he states that, “Iraq is a part of the war on terror. It’s a country that trains terrorists. It’s a country that could arm terrorists. Saddam Hussein and his weapons are a direct threat to this country.” He found a way to tricked the US citiziens into believing that Iraq was linked to 911 and that their country has weapon of mass distruction. “In the USA Today” article, it was stated that the United Nations didn’t find any. The United State basically invaded Iraq without the wishes of the UN. Even though it was found that they don’t have any Chemical or Biological weapon in their possession.
There were about five American News stations and Al Jazeera at the location reporting the news from the war to the war. The coverage of the war was being dominated by episodic battle coverage; because of this way of talking about the war, the most important aspect of the war ended up being over crowded by the periodic views of the war. To the American viewers, the war was sanitized of bloodshed, dissent, and diplomacy, but on the other hands, many things that were being displayed to the Americans included exciting weaponry, soldiers being heroes and colorful …show more content…
It came to question because there were things that wasn’t adding up about this particular situation. For one, we can see reporters rushing past an advancing American tank with recording gear so the incident of the fall of Baghdad could be captured. Some Al Jazeera staff points out that the clip was only an absolute depiction for the media. Some things were pointed out to expose the authenticity of this event: the readily available pre- 1991 flag, the allegedly joyous crowd were about of the same age and gender and their nationalities seem to be
