As these are the phrases that we should never say to a person who is going through a depression. But reality shows that the help that the depressed person receives from his environment often comes to him in a charitable and protectionist way that trivializes his process and increases his discomfort by demanding an effort that he is unable to perform.
Consider that the depressed patient torments himself when he thinks about how much he has to do and how incapable he feels before such simple efforts as getting up from the sofa, getting dressed, washing and not to mention leaving home to face an environment that he perceives as hostile .
