Introduction
Even though the death penalty may or may not be moral and there are many negative effects to it, the death penalty should be used more because the death penalty may be deterrent to stop people from committing crimes and for each prisoner put to death three through eighteen lives are saved. The death penalty system is not perfect, it has some negative effects when used, but this should not stop us from using it. The negative effects of the death penalty should just be worked with until they are fixed, because the positive effects of the death penalty greatly outweigh the downsides.
