Persuasive Essay On Tap Water

Water can obtain many ways, but the most dominated ways are tap, water that is usually received from a person's home that originates from a water plant or well on the personal property. Or bottled water, water that is purchased from a store and is bottled from a source of water else water such as from a spring or heavily filtered water plant. But little does the consumer know they should truly only consume tap water for their safety and the environment. The tap water is the only one of the sources of water, that they should be drinking on a hot afternoon. Tap is considerably cheaper than its counterpart bottled water. Tap water is heavily regulated by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). According to Sara Goodman “The Safe Drinking Water Act empowers EPA to require water testing by certified laboratories and that violation be reported within a specified time frame. Public water systems must also provide reports to customers about their water, noting its source, evidence of contaminants and compliance with regulations”(Goodman). Now, assuming that the consumer cares how he/she water cares for they would strongly consider this before they pick up a bottled water. Why choose a company that does not provide how they regulate their water on their packaging or label. The consumer may never know if their water was containment one point of time if they decide to drink bottled water.
