Argumentative Essay On Solar Cars

I’ve chosen solar powered cars as my topic of choice, my knowledge is limited on the subject. Solar powered cars don’t use fossil fuels, so they don’t cause pollution making them environmentally friendly, which is ideal. They get their energy from the sun, through solar panels that store energy in batteries, or battery packs. The process that this happens in, is conversion of energy through photovoltaic cells. These cells are what makeup a solar panel, made up of semiconductors usually silicon. They absorb the sunlight, which frees electrons in the semiconductors, creating a flow of electrons, producing energy.

The idea that society can find, and utilize alternative energy sources is a huge breakthrough for human beings. Taking a concept such as solar power, and efficiently using it to cut down the pollution that cars, or any resource for that matter creates, is essentially preserving the planet. Considering the facts, time, money, and effort that is put into just one solar powered car it doesn’t seem like an immediate solution. But that doesn’t change the fact that it has opened up an entire concept for interpretation. If you can’t use it ideally to power a car, what can you use it for? This is the question that thousands of scientists, and engineers are exploring, making the effort of building a solar powered car completely viable. When you have an idea, you put it into action trial, and error are apart of the discovery process, which is why any preconceived notions I have are subject to change upon extensive evidence, however so far I cant disagree with the sustainability of the
