We live in the 21st century, where screen time is a very controversial topic. On one hand, people think screen time will just distract our kids from school and will cause an addiction, so they take it away. On the contrary, people believe it is crucial for teens to have their screen time for socializing. So does limiting screen time actually benefit your teens? Or is it just the way society thinks we should do to our kids? Well, with research proven, screen time is valuable to teens because they are used for critical communication and gives teens the privacy they need. Also, studies have proven that taking away screen time does more harm than good.
In this world, communication is vital to a teens daily life. However, finding time for physical communication is very challenging, especially when they are piled up with tests every week. Danah Boyd, the principle of researcher at Microsoft research, founder of “ Data & Society” and author of “Blame Society, Not the screen Time” conducted a research saying,
