People are a lot of things. For example, I am seventeen. I am a girl. I am a tennis player, as well as a cheerleader, math-lover, and a student, but most importantly, I am a kid. As a kid I am also the future. What I decide to do with my life, along with all the other kids, could affect the world. However, despite this great importance that lies on us, our lives are still minimally protected. On average, children spend about 6 years of their lives in school. These schools said to be one of the safest spots in town; where children can learn without fear or worry. Although, I bet the 137 schools and 297 victims who had to go through the most traumatic and horrific experience of a school shooting would highly disagree with this. The truth is,
