In almost every single story there is always that one person who benefits the ones who are less fortunate and not as blessed as most people in their society just for the sake of it and to make the world a better place. Today, there are millions of us who try to make the world a better place , from shelter workers, doctors, cops, and even elementary school teachers. Helping people out is to most of us, not everyone, the right thing to do. It is just one of those things that has made it to where it is solidly anchored into our psyche and most people today can credit all of this to the one and only Robin Hood. Although not everyone steals money just to hand it right back to the poor there are few who have done this. In fact, History does recall many men who were known to steal from the rich and give to the poor including William Robehod and Gilbert Robynhodd but neither are known to be the inspiration of the myth. But some believe that, because of the time period, Robin Hood was perhaps made because of John, King of England. Because John was such a bad leader many of the people disliked him. This led to people rebelling against him and cold possible the source of Robin Hood-type bandits. “Numerous attempts have been made to prove that there was a historical Robin Hood, though references to the legend by medieval writers make it clear that the ballads themselves were the only evidence for his existence available to them.”(Robin Hood 1) The myth Robin Hood first came about in 1377 after William Langland wrote his poem, Piers the Plowman. As each generation passed the story changed around a bit here and there for entertainment
