Argumentative Essay On Plant Nanny

I debated whether I would dub Plant Nanny as my favorite app, but after a long, hard debate with myself, I came to the conclusion that it was in fact Duolingo. Yes, Plant Nanny has been downloaded over 1,000,000 times, but perhaps that’s because it’s easy to lose motivation when it comes to self-improvement, and so people naturally download and delete the app within a few days, only to redownload it when they are looking for a health kick and then delete it again. However, I definitely did appreciate the cute little plant that lived in my phone. For the first time in my life, I felt like a mother. Watching that little sprout grow and develop its own personality filled me with pride. Eventually that pride started to wither away (just like the …show more content…
Throughout the school year, I would play Duolingo for around 20 minutes each day to brush up on vocabulary and conjugations. This has definitely helped raise my confidence as I entered my junior year. Unlike some of my classmates who forgot a lot of the earlier topics in Spanish, like objects and tenses, I have been preparing all summer. This made my transition from Spanish 4 Honors in to AP Spanish relatively easy. Towards the end of last year, as I picked my courses for this year (my senior year), I realized that I didn’t have room to take another Spanish course. I knew I had nothing to worry about, because I have been using Duolingo for awhile now. And thanks to this app, I am still able to hold full conversations with my former classmates and teachers in full Spanish. I used to always be insecure about my Spanish skills, but this app has definitely improved how I view myself as a learning student. I realize it’s okay to make mistakes because I can always try again. There’s no stress involved at all. If I miss a day, it’s not like the Duolingo bird would flop over and die (like in Plant Nanny), but I would just be able to work harder and longer the next day because according to this app, any progress is still good

Rather than twisting off a cap of a prescription bottle and downing a pill or two with a swig of water, a rather unique form of treatment for mental illnesses is the use of emotional support animals (ESA for short). Contrary to service animals, an emotional support animal is not trained for a specific task other than providing comfort to someone suffering from a mental illness. ESAs have no restrictions on the breed or species of animal and can range from dogs to cats and even reptiles. Emotional support animals are normally the person’s pet before they are registered and therefore are hard to distinguish from other pets. While there is some controversy for the use of emotional support animals, consistent results from research and studies suggests…

Farmers have been leaders in food for centuries. Without the production of agriculture, people would have ceased to exist. The food that farmers produce is heavily based on the geographical area they occupy. For example, farmers in Asia produce rice, farmers in South America produce coffee, and farmers in Idaho produce potatoes. Farming and agriculture brought man out of the age of hunting and gathering, and allowed civilizations to flourish because they no longer had to move around constantly and gather berries and fruits.…
