The show is focused on a whale named Shamu. Most people believe Shamu is one whale that does all of the shows but it is actually played by several orcas (“Shamu”). The whales are a very big attraction and it helps keep the company afloat. (“Tourism”). SeaWorld tried to deny the fact that they haven 't been doing their jobs right. They tried to cover it up as much as possible. They paid off newspapers to keep the stories of whale abuse private (“Newspapers”).Tourism is very important for SeaWorld. Just think about all the kids touring SeaWorld and about all of the lies they would tell them about the killer whales. (“Touring SeaWorld”).
Recently SeaWorld just finished expanding their penguin habitat. But what about the whales? Why aren’t they expanding their habitats? SeaWorld cares more about money than they do about expanding their habitats and feeding the whales properly. (“$$$$”).SeaWorld is slowly declining from the Blackfish movie because people feel disgusted to see the whales living in such poor environments (“Decline”). SeaWorld says that after the Blackfish movie was released they have been losing attendance and that it made them realize what they were doing and how the need to change
