Argumentative Essay On Noah's Ark

Decent Essays
According to four graduate students, Noah’s ark could in theory float. The ark being 300 by 50 cubits long and being made of gopher wood. The question is now how could he fit two of every animal in the world in there AND make it still float? The boat had to have the same amount of force on the ocean as the weight of the water it displays. The students thought about it and tried looking for the mass. The students started made a math problem. Where they subtracted the mass and found Noah’s ark carries 50,540,000 kg. Noah carried many animals in the ark. So the students researched and found that there are 1.7 million different species that we have found now. The students debated if the average mass of the ark were sheep. The ark could survive

The literary form and genre of the book of Genesis is prose: biblical and historical narrative. Biblical narratives in Genesis show that “God is active in His world” and these narratives typically “chose certain events to reveal God.” For instance, this element is apparent when the Angel of the Lord speaks to Hagar, granting her the promise of descendants (Gen 16:10). In the same manner, this element is reinforced in subsequent chapters (Gen 17:19; 18:10). In describing this book, it is significant to note that most of the characters in the narrative are flawed.…

The first reasoning of why manatees are the best underwater creatures is because of how different they live compared to the rest of the sea animals. “As with so many of the manatee attributes, the structure of its bones is unusual” (Reep par. 4). Also, manatees have different characteristics than others. Manatees are big, yet they do not kill others. They are considered the peacemakers because they are not considered prey and don’t attack prey.…

There has always been much controversy over your theory of evolution; a theory that has lasted or almost 160 years, with not a single piece of evidence presented that disproves the fundamental validity of that theory. In fact, it is being supported time and time again by fossil records. However, thats not to say your theory is perfect. The point of a theory is not to be perfect. The ideas you have presented, however, are the best and most scientifically grounded ideas we have about the way species evolve and change.…

Aiza Nageeb A Fish Story Not everything in life is crystal clear; sometimes we need to dig deeper to find the true meaning behind a particular idea/thing. In the case study, "A Fish Story" a college professor is trying to teach his students a lesson by making them observe a small fish on a white plate. For three days in a row, the professor assigns the students the same assignment and as the days progress, the students find new results. The first day the students notice basic physical characteristics about the fish, like its size and the color of the plate it rests on. The second day the students use a book to find out about the type of fish it is, and the third day they dig deeper and observe minuscule details; like its weight, position of the mouth and texture.…

This park was founded in 1959, when there was little knowledge of orcas and their capabilities aside from them being big and scary. Due to not knowing much, the founders did not understand that this kind of captivity would drive orcas to do terrible things, cause major stress to their dolphins, and end up harming animals more than helping.…

Evolution has received mostly negative feedback from society, especially from non-scientists. Perhaps, evolution is controversial because it speaks to the beginning of humanity. Controversy originated from individuals’ religious backgrounds and faith in a higher being but they do not consider the definition of evolution. Noted by David Jacobs—Professor of Animal Evolution and Systematics at the University of Cape Town, non-scientists believe evolution states that human evolved from baboons. However, evolution only claims that humans and other non-human primates share a common ancestor (Jacobs, 2015).…

“It is no the strongest of species that survives, nor the most intelligent that survives. It is the one that is the most adaptable to change.” This quote was once said by the father of evolution himself, Charles Darwin who spent his life’s work on learning all he can about evolution. In the world we live in all organisms change, and were not the same thousands of years ago as they are today. There are two main theories to this process; scientific theory and religious theory.…
