When you think of pirates you probably think of one-eyed men with patches over their eyes, or scruffy looking men with a wooden leg. Although those kinds of pirates have been gone for centuries, pirates still sail the seas. In the article “Modern Piracy” it says that the pirate attacks have increased by seventy-five percent in the last decade. While Naval forces are taking care of some of the pirates, they can’t stop them all. These pirates diffuse throughout the ocean so that the military will have a harder time catching them.
