Firstly lets compare marijuana to tobacco and alcohol. Both tobacco and alcohol are legal in the united states. Alcohol tears the liver apart and may cause hepatitis and cirrhosis. Medical use of marijuana is very benefiting to those who have cancer, AIDS, glaucoma and many other illnesses. Legalizing marijuana allows it to be safely controlled in comparison to marijuana being sold on the streets which can be dangerous due to the fact that it is unknown what substances are put in the drug.
