Marijuana does not only benefit the people, but for the economy as well. Consumers will smoke pot whether it is legal or not. Legalization of marijuana can gather huge amounts of profits, just like medicine and other substances. In the first six months, Colorado alone made over 25 million pot related tax revenue. An analysis by “NerdWallet” predicted that if all 50 states were to legalize marijuana for all purposes, the country would gain over 3 billion in tax revenue. Most of the profit would go to good use towards improving our education system, improving healthcare, providing a better justice system, and help pay off the county’s debt.
