Argumentative Essay On Is Evolution Real

The question that gets a lot of people worked up is, Is evolution real? Although many people have their arguments on whether or not it is, this paper is going to be about the actual scientific facts proven about evolution. Evolution, despite what some may believe to be true, is the process in which living organisms have changed and developed ”evolved” into different species, but are believed to have derived or originated from a single species or ancestral background (Biological Def.). This can be proven by studying the changes of, DNA, anatomical structures, and embryological development, over a long period of time. The existence of evolution can also be proven by studying cladograms, the homologous and analogous structures of an organism, and fossil records. Organisms are often broken up and categorized by their appearances. There are two main types of structures, that may or not be seen. The first one is a homologous structure, which is a structure or part of some organisms, that consist of generally the same pieces such as bones, but are placed together differently, and may or may not serve the same functions for each organism (Comparative Anatomy). The second type of structure is an analogous structure, which is where different organisms have structures or parts that serve the same or nearly the same function (Comparative Anatomy). Homologous structures can be traced back to one ancestral background, helping scientists in proving evolution (Comparative Anatomy)(Tracing Back Traits).
