Crash! Bang! Pow! Zeus, the god of the sky- power from above, is raining down on the mortals of Greece. Greek mythology was often told to young children to explain unnatural events they would otherwise not understand (“Greek Mythology”). The deities lived on snowcapped Mount Olympus, the highest peak in Greece. They came down to the mortal world and often interacted with the common people. In many ways, the gods acted like the mortals by showing passions such as jealousy, love, and revenge. The gods are known for their affairs and mischievous acts when they came down from Mount Olympus (“Greek Mythology”). For his first labor, kill the Nemean lion, his goal was to capture and kill the lion who had such tough skin it could not be penetrated by arrows of any kind.
