Diversity, complexity, variety and freedom are among the many characteristics at the forefront of many citizens’ priorities for living their lives without censorship:
Inexperienced or absent parents promote a lifestyle for children that can be easily swayed by piers or Internet predators.
Video games promote a gangster, thug, lifestyle for children who are immersed in imagery of violence and death. Television and movies are readily available in multiple formats with little to no controls on the material being viewed.

My motivation is to provide a background on the root of violent behavior that has generated school shootings along with random acts within society with grave results (Wood and Miller, 2015).
Students from Parkland Florida have created national attention in hopes of making a change to the repeated headlines of violence against innocent lives. I applaud the goal of these students, who have inspired schools across the nation to repeat the “No More” slogan. Demanding more legislation on guns is the campaign, with fewer guns, the violence would be eliminated or at least reduced; this is a true but if we dig a bit deeper we can get more to the root of the issue (Larimer, 2018).
Bullying and intimidation in schools exposes children to a daily atmosphere of fear and anxiety that many cannot process. It impacts their overall health, mentally and physically, often becoming withdrawn and seeking the means to inact revenge. School programs across the U.S. in every state have been mandated by law to develop policies to combat bullying but the policies do not seem to be making a difference (Sabia and Bass, 2017). They are unable to distinguish proper conduct when interacting with the world outside of their home.
