In recent years, the social issue of gun regulation has become a huge debate in the United States. As stated in the US Constitution, the Second Amendment gives people the “right to bear arms” which means that individuals are allowed to possess their own certified gun with the correct licenses. However, is this certain Amendment the cause of one of the biggest social issues today in the United States? The number of guns has increased to 357 million as of 2015. Therefore, the number of gun-related incidents that occur in the United States have increased. (Rhiannon). Unfortunately, the U.S. is the ranked the number one country with the highest gun-related incidents as compared to the rest of the world. However, is the real problem the Second Amendment itself or is it the limited laws and procedure that are enforced during the purchasing of a gun? Therefore, the amount of gun regulation laws need to be increased and stricter. The United States should adopt stricter gun regulation …show more content…
