Pimples, acne and blackheads are the most common problem people are faced with within a section of their life that we all know as puberty. Pimples form when ones sebaceous glands (found within the follicles of the skin) become overactive. These glands produce an oily substance called Sebum; sebum is produced as a coating that prevents the skin from drying out. When one produces too much Sebum the follicle becomes congested with dead skin cells.
