The 21st century has seen a huge growth and follow of marijuana. Throughout the years states have become way more lenient with its laws against marijuana. From the decriminalization to the out right legal use on the state level. One can see that the future for marijuana is extremely bright. However thousands of americans have been imprisoned for petty crimes such as marijuana possession. Now the question is if marijuana should be treated on the same level as other drug charges. Many people agree with this argument. To some marijuana is a super plant and that's all it is. It suppose to heal the mind body and soul. The medicinal use of marijuana has grown throughout the years which is a direct correlation to why all out legalization of marijuana is on the way. On the other hand many americans feel that marijuana is the devil and since few miss use the drug it shouldn't be legal at all. No matter what side you're on it's evident that someone in prison for murder is more dangerous than someone selling dope. Thus the legal system need to take a strong look on how they evaluate crimes involving marijuana.
The war on drugs in America has been fought for many years.
