The Day of 1944
On June 6, 1944 the Normandy landing operation began. Allies landed 160,000 troops onto the beaches, from aircrafts, and submarines. This started a war that was later named D-Day, this one battle made millions of Americans react, and look at this war in a whole different way. D-Day may have had Hitler in change of venue. The president at the time was Franklin D. Roosevelt, seemed to have something that the United States citizens needed to hear.
All of America was in a bad reaction to how D-Day went, and how many death came for it. Once D-Day came to an end there were about 425,000 allied and German troops were dead. The killings were trouble for the women and children back at home.
