Many people don’t realize that there are many diamonds today that are conflict diamonds. Many people may not realize that they are purchasing conflict diamonds because they are not aware of the conflicts in Sierra Leone and because the Kimberley Process may not fully guarantee that all certified diamonds are not from conflicted areas.
