“Cancer is the second leading cause of death in the United States; it accounts for 1 in 4 deaths in the US and claims more than 1,500 lives a day.“ (psr.org). Cancer claims the lives of loved ones near and far every single day. The damage that cancer causes every day is only becoming larger and larger. Unnatural products such as Chromium Hexavalent Compounds, and hundreds of other unnatural products, are increasing the chances of people getting cancer. Chromium Hexavalent Compounds are produced in the productions of metals and are commonly found in factories. Chromium Hexavalent is an unnatural, man-made, corrosive element. “Elemental chromium does not occur naturally in the environment. The divalent (chromous) state is readily oxidized to the more stable trivalent (chromic) state. Although the hexavalent state (including chromates) is more stable than the divalent state, it is rarely found in nature. Chromium(VI) compounds are strong oxidizing agents and are highly corrosive.” (RoC Profile). This is a chemical that should not be in contact with humans on a regular basis, but it is and has an awful impact upon their health. Exposure is through inhalation, ingestion (chromium leached into soil and water), and dermal contact.” (psr.org). The exposure of this chemical to the workers have increased their chances of getting lung, skin and many other types of
