Christopher James “Chris” Christie is a republican Candidate in the 2016 presidential election. Chris is currently the governor of New Jersey. He was first elected on January 19, 2010, and re-elected to a second term on November 5, 2013. He graduated from the University of Delaware and Seton Hall School of Law before becoming a lawyer. Christie also holds honorary doctorate degrees from Rutgers University and Monmouth University. Christie is highly qualified for the position. He meets every qualification to become president both physically and educationally.
Chris Christie has accomplished many things while in office in New Jersey. He has held many meetings to stop drug addicts and to help troubled kids. Christie has come up with a reformed treatment for drug offenders. He signed a tax budget in 2010, which did not raise any taxes on the people of New Jersey. All humans make mistakes, but he has made many liberal mistakes. President Obama went to New Jersey when Hurricane Sandy hit, and Christie was really close to Obama. Christie and Obama rode around and became friends during that time. This troubles me because New Jersey is a very democratic state. Christie has to have many democratic views to keep getting elected by a state that always votes democrat. Christie also has a pretty large scandal on his shoulders. Christie and his committee closed two lanes unexpectedly on the New Jersey side of the George Washington bridge. They did not inform any of the emergency responders. This action hindered a search for a missing child, and caused many traffic jams. Rumors emerged that the authority closed the bridge for political retribution.
