According to Eric Metaxas, an author, spokesmen, and radio host, more than 55,000,000 individual lives are taken out of this earth since the seventy’s-although the number of abortions have dropped since then (Metaxas). Abortion is when a baby/fetus is executed during pregnancy. The quite controversy subject affects several U.S. citizens, including the fetus. One side of the argue disputes that to terminate the baby is to violate its individual rights. People who support Prolife (a group who disagree with abortion) work to protect the baby and stands as a voice for the baby. The nation could adopt abortion laws almost like the gun laws that stand today. There are gun laws that apply to the citizens of the United States that make businesses take regulations for those who want to buy a gun. They do this to prevent a gun going into the wrong hands and to save lives. Abortions can be regulated the same way especially when considering the mothers’ life as well as the growing baby. Clinics could adopt regulations such as going through certain procedures to give patients an abortion. This could mean that the babies that are accidents are not taken for granted from those who made a mistake. Meaning biologically, the baby can survive outside of the womb after the twentieth week. Thus, the mother would be violating the child’s constitutional rights by getting an abortion. The twenty-week ban should also stay in place to protect the baby through its civil rights. The twenty-week limit can have an extension, but only under certain circumstances. Circumstances such as abnormalities or the health risk of the woman and/or child. Abnormalities are not typically shown before the twenty-week limit, thus creates some issues with women who want to let their baby go instead of having them suffer.
